Stephen J. Dent

Mr. Dent has 21 years of experience in private equity and investment banking.
He was with Birch Hill’s predecessor company, TD Capital from 1989 to 1992 and
from 1994 to 2005. In 1992 and 1993, Mr. Dent was a founding partner of
Merchant Private Trust, a Toronto Stock Exchange listed investment management
company. He rejoined TD as a Vice President and Director in TD Securities’ Corporate
Finance and M&A Group in 1993 and rejoined TD Capital in 1994. Prior to returning
to graduate school, Mr. Dent spent two years in TD’s Corporate Lending unit.

Mr. Dent received his M.B.A. from the Richard Ivey School of Business, University of
Western Ontario, and his B.B.A. (Honours) from Wilfrid Laurier University.
