Pierre J. Schuurmans, COO

Mr. Schuurmans has over 15 years of experience in senior operating and financial roles. Prior to joining Birch Hill, Mr. Schuurmans held Chief Financial Officer positions with Peel Lumber Inc., a distributor of building products, and Borderfree Inc., a software and services provider of cross-border logistics. Previously, Mr. Schuurmans was the VP Finance at Solarex, a leading U.S. manufacturer of photovoltaic panels and was a consultant at McKinsey & Company.

Mr. Schuurmans received his M.B.A. from Stanford University and his H.B.A. (with distinction) from the Richard Ivey School of Business, University of Western Ontario.
